Éboli, Ana de Mendoza de la Cerda, princesa de (ä`nä thā māndō`thä thā lä thār`dä prēnthā`sä thā ā`bōlē), 1540–92, Spanish noblewoman. After the death (1573) of her husband, Ruy Gómez, principe de Éboli, she is supposed by romantic tradition to have had an affair with Antonio Pérez Pérez, Antonio , b. 1534 or 1539, d. 1611, Spanish politician. Ambitious and unscrupulous, he became secretary to King Philip II and was, with the princesa de Éboli, a center of court intrigues.

She was certainly involved in political intrigues with him and shared his disgrace after the murder of Juan de Escobedo Escobedo, Juan de , d. 1578, Spanish politician, secretary to John of Austria in the Netherlands.
