1080iRefers to the 1920x1080 "interlaced" HDTV format. The 1080-line formats provide the maximum lines of resolution in the HDTV standard; however, interlaced 1080i delivers an image that is not as sharp as progressive 1080p, especially when rendering fast motion. recorded on a Mini DV tape in 1080i HDV-standard format. The Sony "HDR-FX1" is the world's first
consumer-level camera that supports Full HD 1080i (meaning 1080
