AITP

(Association of Information Technology Professionals, Chicago, IL, www.aitp.org) Formerly the Data Processing Management Association (DPMA), it is a membership organization founded in 1951 devoted to providing professional development to individuals in the information systems field. It originated the CDP examinations, which were later administrated by the ICCP. It was renamed AITP in 1996.

AITP is an international organization, focused on promoting a better understanding of the role of information processing management and society.
The Illinois Technology Showcase has received endorsement from the offices of Speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Dennis Hastert, Illinois Governor George Ryan and Chicago Mayor Richard Daley, in addition to support from the Illinois Coalition, the Chicago Partnership for Economic Development, the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors, SIM Chicago, AITP Chicago, and AIP Chicago, among others.
