American Medical Association (AMA)Organization of U.S. physicians. It was founded in 1847 “to promote the science and art of medicine and the betterment of public health.” It has about 250,000 members, about half of all practicing U.S. physicians. It disseminates information to its members and the public, operates as a lobbying group, and helps set medical education standards. Its publications include Journal of the American Medical Association, American Medical News, and journals on medical specialties. AMA (Automatic Message Accounting) The recording and reporting of telephone calls within a telephone system. It includes the calling and called parties and start and stop times of the call. When performed in a tandem switch, it is known as "Central Automatic Message Accounting" (CAMA). When done in an end office switch, where most billing is handled today, it is known as "Local Automatic Message Accounting" (LAMA). No references found | My gynecologist and I collaborated on a plan that consisted of a gynecological exam and Pap smear, AMAS test to be done more than 97 days post-surgery (as per the literature provided in Oncolab's information packet) and bloodwork after the chemo (to help us come up with nutritional recommendations), which I sent to Lynne August, MD, for the Health Equations' blood test evaluation. Don: I've also done the AMAS test by ONCO labs in Boston, Massachusetts, May and October of 2005. In New York productions this past spring - at the AMAS Musical Theatre's Six O'clock Staged Reading Series and at Danny's Skylight Room - the singers did little except stand behind a microphone and sing. |
