Abraam Erovantsi
Armenian 18th-century historian; author of History of the Wars of 1721–1736. The work of Abraam Erevantsi is a valuable source for the study of the history of Transcaucasia and Iran. His eyewitness account of the heroic defense of Yerevan and its capture by the Turkish forces in 1724 is particularly impor tant.
