Abu Al-Ala Ganjevi, Mahmud Nizameddin
(Abu-1 Ula Ganjevi). Years of birth and death unknown. Azerbaijani poet of the first half of the 12th century. Abu al-Ala Ganjevi wrote in Farsi and held the title malak al-shoara (king of poets) at the court of the shirvan-shah Manuchir. He was the teacher of the poets Haggani and Falaki.
