Adams Homestead & Nature Preserve Location: 2 miles west and 0.5 miles south of I-29 (McCook exit). Facilities: Visitor center, picnic areas, picnic shelter (é), hiking trails, historic sites, interpretive exhibits, wildlife viewing blinds. Activities: Hiking, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, guided tours. Special Features: Established in 1872 by Stephen Searls Adams, the homestead includes the Adams family farmhouse, a country school, and church. The house contains many of the original furnishings.
