The paintings don't hold much interest on
their own, but paired with the sculptures and floor they gave the
gallery an intriguingly creepy ambience suggestive of an
interior-decorating collaboration between the Addams Family and the
Cleavers. The students will march the 5 1/2-mile route through Pasadena
playing Souza's ``Stars and Stripes Forever,'' ``We Are
Family,'' a television family-show medley that includes theme
songs from ``The Munsters,'' ``The Addams Family,''
and ``Married With Children,'' with ``Everything's Coming
Up Roses'' from the Broadway show ``Gypsy'' rounding
out their repertoire. Unfortunately the folks in Halloween town have fashioned a bag
full of gifts only the kids in the Addams Family would like. |
