Adler, Stephen L. (Louis) (1939– ) physicist; born in New York City. He was a fellow at Harvard (1964–66), taught theoretical physics at Princeton (1966–79), then became Albert Einstein Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, N.J., (1979).
