Long-Tailed Tit 

(Aegithalos caudatus), a bird of the family Paradoxornithidae, order Passeriformes. The head and lower part of the body are white, the back is black with brownish or rose-colored tints, and the tail is black.

The long-tailed tit is found in Europe and Asia; in the USSR it ranges from the western borders to Kamchatka and south of 60° N lat. The tit nests in thickets, often on river shores; the nest is round. The long-tailed tit is beneficial because it feeds on insects.
