agape

In the New Testament, the fatherly love of God for humans and their reciprocal love for God. The term extends to the love of one's fellow humans. The Church Fathers used the Greek term to designate both a rite using bread and wine and a meal of fellowship that included the poor. The historical relationship between this meal, the Lord's Supper, and the Eucharist, the meal of fellowship and the sacrament, is uncertain.

AGAPE LOVE - unconditional love that is always giving and impossible to take or be a taker.
I applaud those who work diligently, out of the celebrity limelight, with the love of Jesus in those foreign lands Webb speaks about, but our "neighbors" are sometimes not far from our front doors and deserve the hands-on agape love of Jesus as well as any in far-off lands.
For example, Miller (2000) has noted the critical role of the Christian concept of agape love in the change process, as related to the active MI component of expressed empathy (Miller & Rollnick, 2002).
