Agapov, Semen Ivanovich
Born 1852; death date unknown. Russian worker and revolutionary, member of the All-Russian Social-Revolutionary Organization. In 1874, while working at the Gekman boiler plant in Moscow, Agapov was led into the workers’ “circle of Muscovites” by P. A. Alekseev. He began propagandizing among the workers of the Zubkov factory in Ivanovo-Voznesensk in May 1875. He was arrested Aug. 7, 1875, and tried under the “process of the 50.” He was sentenced to three years of penal servitude, which he served in Kara. He was then deported to Barguz, Zabaikal Oblast, in 1880, and lived in Surgut, West Siberia, between 1885 and 1888. Nothing more is known of him. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
