Agramonte, Arístides (ärē`stēdās ägrämōn`tā), 1869–1931, Cuban physician and pathologist, M.D. Columbia, 1892. A member of the medical corps of the U.S. army, he was appointed pathologist on the Commission on Yellow Fever in Havana, with Walter Reed and James Carroll, in 1900. He was professor of bacteriology and experimental pathology at the Univ. of Havana. Shortly before his death he undertook the organization of a department of tropical medicine at Louisiana State Univ.
