Ako

Ako (äkō`), city (1990 pop. 51,131), Hyogo prefecture, W Honshu, Japan, on the Harima Sea. Relying on its steel and chemical industries, Ako has become one of Japan's most polluted industrial cities. It is famous for its Oishi (Shinto) shrine, its Kogakuji (Buddhist) temple, and its Ako samurai festival, which is held every December.

Tokyo, Japan, June 15, 2006 - (JCN) - Ako Kasei has discovered a unique property of high mineral water made of Amami-no-Mizu, its proprietary deep sea water product, in collaboration with Kochi University.
The survey, conducted by the Training Development Division, Directorate of Training and Doctrine, JFK Special Warfare Center and School, was sent to more than 5,000 Special Forces Soldiers in the rank of sergeant to captain in both the active component and the National Guard through their AKO accounts.
