Dammam
(al-Dammam), a city in Saudi Arabia, the administrative center of Eastern Province. Population, approximately 20,000. It is a port on the Persian Gulf; about 70 percent of all imported goods pass through Dammam (grain, tea. coffee, sugar, and textiles and other industrial goods).
