Al-Mansur Abu Jafar Abdullah Ibn Muhammad
Born 707; died 775in Baghdad. Caliph of the Abbasid dynasty who ruled from 754 to 775. Al-Mansur brought about administrative and financial reforms in the Arabian Caliphate and encouraged the development of trade and crafts.
