Albert Lea

Albert Lea (lē), city (1990 pop. 18,310), seat of Freeborn co., S Minn., near the Iowa line; inc. 1878. It is a manufacturing and marketing center in a dairy, livestock, and poultry region. Lea college is located on Lake Chapeau. A state park is nearby.
