Alekperov, Alesker Kiazim Ogly
Born 1895; died 1938. Soviet Azerbaijan archaeologist and ethnographer. In the 1930’s, Alekperov was a senior scientific worker; subsequently, he became head of the department of the history of material culture of the Institute of History, Language, and Literature of the Azerbaijan branch of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. He was a member and leader of archaeological and ethnographical expeditions and compiler of the first ethnographic map of Azerbaijan. WORKSIssledovaniia po arkheologii i etnografii Azerbaidzhana.
