Kolchina, Alevtina Pavlovna 

Born Feb. 11, 1930, in the settlement of Pavlovsk, in present-day Ocher Raion, Perm’ Oblast. Soviet woman athlete, Honored Master of Sport (1958), teacher. Became a member of the CPSU in 1962. Olympic champion (ski relay, 1964) and medal winner of winter Olympic games (5-km race, relays, 1956, 1964, 1968). Champion of the world (seven times from 1958 to 1966) and the USSR (eight times from 1956 to 1967) in individual races and relays. She has been awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor and medals.
