Calame, Alexandre 

Born May 28, 1810, in Vevey, Switzerland; died Mar. 17, 1864, in Menton, France. Swiss painter and graphic artist (etcher, lithographer).

Calame painted romantically theatrical, majestic mountain landscapes noted for precise rendering of details and perspective effects.
