Philippson, Alfred
Born Jan. 1, 1864, in Bonn; died there Mar. 28, 1953. German geographer; student of F. Richthofen. Philippson was educated at the universities of Bonn and Leipzig. He was a professor at the universities in Bern (1904–06), Halle (1906–11), and Bonn (1911–29).
