Alitalia

Italian international airline with headquarters in Rome. Although the airline no longer commands monopoly status in its country, as of 2002 the Italian government still owned a majority share of the company.

Built as an extended-range jetliner in 1966, the DC-8 was acquired by NASA from Alitalia Airlines in 1985 and modified.
Among its foreign based tenants are: Alitalia Airlines, Croatian National Tourist Board, Polish Cultural Institute, National Film Board of Canada, China National Tourist Office, Senegal Tourist Office, Filipino Reporter, Tarom Romanian Airlines, Human Rights Watch in China, Human Rights Watch International, and many more too numerous to mention.
That same Friday night, the ambulance was called to Los Angeles International Airport to take a man from the Alitalia Airlines terminal to the Delta Airlines terminal.
