Alkino

a koumiss-cure health resort noted for its climate, 35 km from Ufa and 1.5 km from the Alkino station of the Kuibyshev railroad. Located at an elevation of 206 m in a hilly region, Alkino has a continental climate. The average temperature is - 14.6°C in January, + 19.5°C in June. Annual precipitation is about 500 mm. In Alkino, climate therapy and the koumiss cure are prescribed for patients with active forms of tuberculosis in the stage of compensation and sub-compensation. There is a sanatorium, open year-round.
