Activities: Camping, boating (including powerboats), canoeing, fishing (é), hunting (é), swimming, hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, tennis, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, ice fishing, bird watching, recreation and nature programs (é), scenic views (é). Special Features: Park is the largest in New York's state park system, with two developed areas: The Red House area is known for its historic Tudor-style Administration Building, which houses a natural history museum. The Quaker area features two lakes as well as an old Quaker store that has been restored and now houses a park museum. Exhibits in the museum document the history of Allegany State Park and orient visitors to the park's unique features and attractions.
