(organic chemistry)
CH2CH:CH2NCS A pungent, colorless to pale-yellow liquid; soluble in alcohol, slightly soluble in water; irritating odor; boiling point 152°C; used as a fumigant and as a poison gas. Also known as mustard oil.

The immunomodulatory activities of allyl isothiocyanate (AITC) and phenyl isothiocyanate (PITC) have already been reported from our laboratory (Manesh and Kuttan, 2003).
It's based on the Japanese variety of horseradish, and this spicy plant contains an ingredient called allyl isothiocyanate, on which many decongestants are based.
