Amager (ä`mägər), island (1992 pop. 148,413), 25 sq mi (65 sq km), Copenhagen co., E Denmark, in the Øresund. Northern Amager is occupied by a part of Copenhagen city that has important shipbuilding and harbor facilities. Southern Amager includes fishing ports, beach resorts, and farms. All available routine nasopharyngeal aspirates (NPAs) obtained for
respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) analysis during 1999-2002 from
children hospitalized at the Departments of Pediatrics, Hvidovre
University Hospital and Amager Hospital, Copenhagen, Denmark, were
included in the study. PLOT's approach
to making a youth sailing club in the dreary, flat, exhausted landscape
