Ambarchik

 

a bay in the eastern part of Kolyma Bay in the East Siberian Sea. The bay is approximately 3 km long and 7 km wide at the entrance, and it attains a depth of 4 m. The Kolyma River falls into Ambarchik Bay. It is covered with ice from October until June. The settlement Ambarchik is on the bay’s east shore.

But I knew that if we didn't get the local hunting gods on our side within a week, we would never make it to our final goal: Ambarchik Bay, ten months and 3,500 kilometres to the north.
