Amelia Island State Park Location: 7 miles north of Little Talbot Island State Park (or 8 miles south of Fernandina Beach), on A1A. Facilities: Beach, horse rental. Activities: Saltwater fishing, canoeing/kayaking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing. Special Features: Pristine beaches, salt marshes, and coastal maritime forests provide a glimpse of the original Florida. This park is also one of the few locations on the East Coast that offers horseback riding on the beach, a 45-minute riding tour along the shoreline.
