Andermatt

Andermatt (än`dərmät), village, Uri canton, S central Switzerland. It is a road junction, health resort, and sports center. The St. Gotthard Tunnel runs beneath the village. Andermatt has a 12th-century church.

This is ODH's third project in Europe after the Andermatt development in Switzerland and the recently announced Cornwall project in the UK.
Oct 1, 2009 Andermatt Ground-breaking took place today by Orascom Development Holding AG for the first integrated holiday resort in the Alps, the Andermatt.
The Andermatt resort, to be built at an investment of over CHF1 billion ($968 million), comprises six hotels with 844 rooms, 490 apartments, 20-30 villas as well as considerable infrastructure and leisure facilities including a golf course, sports centre, conference centre and concert hall, modernized ski installations), said a company statement.
