Andoma

a river in Vologda Oblast, RSFSR, emptying into Lake Onega. It has a length of 156 km and a basin area of 2,570 sq km. It rises in Lake Gropto in the Andoma elevation and flows between morainal hills and lakes and through several lakes, forming rapids in the narrow places of the channel. Its feeding is mixed but mainly from snowfall. It freezes in November and opens up at the end of April. Logs can be floated on it, and it is navigable in the lower reaches.
