Andronnikov, Vladimir Nikolaevich

Andronnikov, Vladimir Nikolaevich 

Born June 23 (July 5), 1885, in Vichuga; died Jan. 5, 1942. Soviet Party and political figure. Member of the Communist Party since 1905.

Andronnikov became secretary of the Ivanovo-Voznesensk committee of the Bolsheviks in 1908 and secretary of the Kiev committee of the Bolsheviks in 1914. Repeatedly subjected to repression, he was one of the organizers of the struggle for the establishment of Soviet power in the Urals. In 1917, Andronnikov became a member of the Urals Oblast Committee of the RSDLP (Bolshevik) and president of the Ekaterinburg Okrug Soviet. In 1918 he became president of the Sovnarkom of the Urals and later commissar of industry for the Urals. After 1924 he was engaged in responsible Party and political work in the Ukraine, and after 1933 he was president of the State Planning Commission (Gosplan) of the Kazakh SSR. He served as delegate to the Eleventh, Twelfth, Fifteenth, and Seventeenth Congresses of the Party.
