Anikščiai
town and administrative center of Anikščiai Raion, Lithuanian SSR. Located on both banks of the Sventoji River (Nemunas basin). Anikščiai has a railroad station on the Panevėžis-Ŝvenčioneliai line. Its population is about 7,000 (1968). In Anikščiai there is a winery making fruit and berry wines, a felting and fulling mill, a construction materials factory, and a creamery.
