Born July 11 (23), 1889, in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskii. Russian painter and graphic artist.

Annenkov studied at the Shtiglits School in St. Petersburg from 1909 to 1911 and with F. Vallotton in Paris from 1911 to 1912. A portrait painter, artist for the theater and cinema, and one of the founders of Soviet book illustration, he came under the influence of a number of artistic movements of the first quarter of the 20th century, including cubism.
