Annenskie Mineral’nye Vody 

(Annenskie Mineral Waters), a balneological resort in the taiga zone of the RSFSR, 125 km from Nikolaevsk-na-Amure. The climate is sharply continental; there are temperate, warm summers with an average June temperature of 17°C and clear, very cold winters with an average January temperature of -27°C. The average annual precipitation is 500 mm; maximum rainfall is in the summer. The therapeutic resources include slightly mineralized alkaline hot springs with silicic acid, which are used for baths. This therapy is indicated for persons suffering from diseases of the locomotor and skeletal organs and of the peripheral nervous system and from gynecological complaints. There is one sanatorium and one bathhouse. The health resort is open year round.
