(materials)
A material used with textiles, plastics, paper products, or wax polishes to reduce static-electrical charges by allowing the charge to leak off. Also known as antistat.

antistatic agent
An agent which minimizes static electricity in plastics; may consist of chemical additives or metallic devices connected to an electrical ground.
