    0.01 sec.
Antifascist National-Liberation Committee of Albania

an organ of popular power that arose in the course of the national liberation struggle of the Albanian people against the fascist aggressors and their accomplices. It was formed in May 1944 by a decision of the Antifascist National-Liberation Council of Albania as the council’s executive organ. It carried out the functions of a provisional government for democratic Albania, exercising leadership over the national liberation committees. E. Hoxha was appointed chairman of the committee. On Oct. 20, 1944, the committee was transformed into the Provisional Democratic Government of Albania by the decision of the second session of the Antifascist National-Liberation Council of Albania.
