Aparcería

a type of métayage lease that has survived in Spain and Latin America (Argentina and Paraguay). Both arable land and pastures with livestock are leased. The tenant pays the owner of the land a certain portion of his production (usually half). Sometimes the landowner provides the tenant with seeds, in which case the owner collects an additional third of the original tenant’s share.
