PCI-DSS auditors – both qualified security assessors (QSAs) and approved scanning vendors (ASVs) – exist primarily to ensure that your systems are reasonably secure.
To validate PCI compliance, Level 1 merchants must complete an annual onsite audit by a QSA and quarterly network security scans with an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV).
