Aravalli Hills (ərä`vəlē), hill system, N India, stretching 350 mi (560 km) through Rajasthan state. Divided into the Sambhar-Sirohi and the Sambhar-Khetri ranges, the hills contain a variety of minerals, including large amounts of quartzite. Most of the hills are 1,000 to 3,000 ft (300 to 900 m) in elevation and from 6 to 60 mi (10 to 100 km) in width. The peak of Guru Sikhar on Mount Abu, which is 5,645 ft (1,720 m) in elevation, is the highest of the range. How to thank TFD for its existence?
