Archpriest
in the hierarchy of the Orthodox Church, a senior priest, chief among the clergy of a given church. The archpriest is a member of the “white,” or non-monastic, clergy. The faithful usually address him as “father,” as they do all other priests. In Russian the official church address is vashe vysokoprepodobie (“your reverence”). Want to thank TFD for its existence?
