a balneological health resort in the foothills of Kopetdag in the Turkmen SSR, located 9 km from the Arch-man railroad station. The climate is sharply continental, with very hot summers (over 30°C in July). Therapeutic resources consist of weak-hydrosulfide mineral springs whose water is used for bathing and drinking. The water is prescribed for circulatory, digestive, skin, gynecological, motor, and supportive-organ disorders. Archman has a sanitorium and a bath building and is open all year.
