The mountain is renowned for its unusual array of Arctic-Alpine plants.
In the tundra-like conditions of 12,000 years ago, arctic-alpine plants took advantage of the cool climate and limited competition.
This Cwm, with its exposed rocky features, is a shrine to geologists for its landforms, and to botanists for the rare arctic-alpine plants that nestle snugly in crevices in the rocks.
