Pizzinato, Armando
Born Oct. 7, 1910, in Maniago, Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Italian painter, representative of socialist realism. In 1930, Pizzinato became a student at the Academy of Arts in Venice. Since the early 1950’s he has focused his attention on the theme of creative labor. His work is marked by precise lines, clear spatial organization, sharp foreshortenings, and the rhythmical contrast of broad planes of color (The Docker, 1953; The Builders, 1961–62). Pizzinato executes monumental paintings, for example, the frescoes in the administrative building of Parma Province (1953–56). REFERENCESPittura di A. Pizzinato: Catalogo ….
