Arreola, Juan José
Born 1918, in Guzmán. Mexican writer. Arreola introduced the genre of intellectual fantasy into Mexican literature. His collections of stories Various Fabrications (1949), Confabularlo (1952), and others are devoted to the philosophical problems of human existence.
