Artamonova, Inga Grigor’evna
(also I. G. Voro-nina). Born Aug. 29, 1936, in Moscow; died Jan. 4, 1966, in Moscow. Soviet racing ice skater; Honored Master of Sport (1962). Member of the CPSU from 1965. Artamonova was a four-time world champion (1957, 1958, 1962, and 1965), a five-time all-around champion, and a 26-time champion of the USSR in separate events. Her best performances in separate events were 500 m in 44.9 sec, 1,500 m in 2 min 19.0 sec, and 3,000 m in 5 min 6 sec; in combined competition her best score was 189.033 points.
