Byline: ANI London, October 18 (ANI): Asterix will celebrate its 50th anniversary from next week with a series of exhibitions and special events and a new album of stories - but the festivities have been spoiled by sqabbling between French villages over who was the inspiration for the warrior's hamlet of indomitable Gauls.
After 50 years Asterix and his village of indomitable Gauls are still gamely holding out against the Romans, while in the meantime they have become a global publishing phenomenon.
Parc Asterix is a massive theme park with a great range of rides and roller coasters, including the massive Tonnere de Zeus, or Thunder of Zeus, which is regarded as one of the best rollercoasters in the world.
