Atomic fluorescence spectroscopy (AFS), like other atomic emission spectroscopy (AES) techniques, measures the unique radiation signatures emitted by atoms as they decay from higher to lower energy states.
Comparable to the techniques of atomic absorption and atomic emission is the lesser-known method of atomic fluorescence spectroscopy (AFS).
