Attitude Stabilization of a Spacecraft
the control of a spacecraft’s motion about its center of mass in those flight segments that take place with substantial accelerations, for example, during the operation of a rocket engine. In contrast to spacecraft attitude control (seeSPACECRAFT ORIENTATION), attitude stabilization is an auxiliary control problem. One means of attitude stabilization is the stabilization of one of a spacecraft’s axes by rotation about this axis. Want to thank TFD for its existence?
