Following a vote of the Prem's 20 clubs in September last year, which was not unanimous, no new players can be registered in the league after 5pm on Thursday, August 9, 2018.
In addition to this work in Michigan, AKTI successfully removed all automatic knife restrictions in Colorado earlier in the year, and the bill goes into effect August 9, 2018.
Clubs will still be able to sell players until the end of the normal window but all purchases will have to be completed by 5pm on the Thursday before the start of the season which will be August 9, 2018.
This means clubs will not be allowed to register new players after 5pm on Thursday, August 9, 2018, but they will still be able to sell players to clubs in leagues where the window remains open, as is currently the case.
