Automatic Feeder
a mechanism that feeds individual semifinished articles, such as sheet materials, folios, signatures, or book jackets from a stack or row and sets them in a position suitable for moving on to the following operations or for further processing. The automatic feeder consists of a pick-up device that separates or pushes out the last article in the vertical stack or horizontal row and devices that remove the semifinished articles to the final position one at a time. The pick-up and removing devices are mechanical or pneumatic.
